The dbWatch Small Enterprise Services package includes pre-emptive regular analysis and performance enhancement of your environment and connection to our alarm central for reactive support when unplanned events occur.  In addition to the basic professional coverage this package includes quicker reponse times and outside-office hours support.

  How does it Work?

The dbWatch software is used in all dbWatch Services solutions. A dbWatch Server is installed in your local environment, connected to your databases.  In all our standard packages we include connecting the dbWatch server to the dbWatch Services Alarm Central.  This is done by adding the dbWatch Alarm Central to the email extension.  All emails are continuously monitored by specialized staff who will contact you if any serious immediate anomalies are reported.

In addition to the Alarm Central, which gives immediate assistance if required, the dbWatch Service packages also use dbWatch's reporting system to analyze the databases in order to identify bottlenecks, anomalous trends or help in planning hardware purchases.  Such walkthroughs are done on a quarterly basis.  The report is scheduled in the dbWatch Server and transmitted to our support team at regular intervals, this ensures that we have a continuous understanding of your environment.

Since all transfers from dbWatch are done via e-mail you do not need to open any ports or give us access to your system.  However, we can have a more integrated solution with access through the dbWatch Monitor or even full VPN access if you are going for a complete remote DBA solution.
